Markets go up and down. Over the past several decades the financial services industry has promulgated an enormous amount of information. Much of this is targeted towards the sale of financial products and services. At Eden Prairie Capital Management we believe some of this information is not necessarily accurate. We believe asset allocation is important, unfortunately, most firms just aren't very good at it. No one can deny diversification is a fundamental investment concept. Unfortunately, over diversification can be a hindrance to performance, and can be overrated. Wealth is created by prudent concentration, preserved thru prudent diversification. What is prudent is unique to each investor.

While big banks and brokerage firms' investment strategies and tactics are being driven by compliance and administrative departments, at Eden Prairie Capital Management we don't believe they should be driving the investment process. We have no brokerage affiliations and don't sell financial products. We do not have corporate mandates enjoining us to sell client assets because they are not on a "list", or to "re-balance" a portfolio to make it fit some pre-defined asset allocation tagged to company defined investment objective. We have no conflicts of interest, have a professional code of ethics and adhere to it. Our customers' needs and interests always come first!
